Installing the intraHouse Lite system

The intraHouse Lite system is the lower configuration of the intraHouse system. It has no limitations in comparison with the Pro and SCADA configurations. Except for additional extensions. More information about the differences in configurations you can read here.

Technical requirements

Computer requirements:

  • Minimum amount of RAM – 1 GB
  • Minimum amount of HDD (SSD, SD card) 8 GB (16 and more recommended for data archives)
  • Internet access for installation and update

Installation

1. Installing intraHouse on computers with Linux and Mac OS X operating systems

The intraHouse system can be installed on any computer with Linux and Mac OS X operating systems

To install the intraHouse system type the following command in the terminal:

curl -sL https://git.io/fN1JN | sudo -E bash

After installation, you will see a string with the system address. It will look something like this:

http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8088/pm/, where instead of xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the address of the server with the installed system.

2. Installing intraHouse on computers with Windows 10 operating system

To install the intraHouse system type the command (one line) at the Windows command prompt:

powershell -NoProfile -InputFormat None -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -Command “iex ((New-Object System.Net.WebClient).DownloadString(‘https://git.io/fNdFt’))”

After installation, you will see a string with the system address. It will look something like this:

http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8088/pm/ , where instead of xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx , the server address with the installed system will be.
To login the system, enter this address in your browser (Chrome, Safari). If the system is installed locally, you can login by the address: localhost:8088/pm/

Note: At the moment there are some restrictions in the version of intraHouse system for Windows:
1. It is not possible to install the Pro and SCADA configurations
2. CCTV and P2P plugins don’t work

3. Installing intraHouse on the Raspberry Pi Mini-PC

On the Raspberry Pi 3 Mini-PC, the intraHouse system can be installed in two ways.

Method 1 (Recommended). First install the operating system. The procedure is shown here. Then install the intraHouse system with the curl command, as above.

Method 2. To install a system from a ready-made intraHouse system image for Raspberry Pi. The procedure is shown  here.

On the Raspberry Pi 2 Mini-PC, the intraHouse system can be installed only in method 1.

Remove

The intraHouse system is placed in two folders:

In folder /opt/intrahouse-c is the system itself

In folder /var/lib/intrahouse-c are projects and plug-ins

To remove the intraHouse system, just delete these folders:

sudo rm -R /opt/intrahouse-c

sudo rm -R /var/lib/intrahouse-c
